Ernest Laliberte Obituary

LALIBERTE, ERNEST W., 91, of Old Carriage Road, a retired assembler and block cutter and owner of the former George's Tap in Providence died October 28, 2008 at RI Hospital. He was the husband of the late Annette M. (Dupont) Laliberte and son of the late Alfred and Philnore (Blanchette) Laliberte.

Mr. Laliberte was a WWII Army veteran and participated in the invasion of Okinawa.

He was the beloved father of Ernest A.and his wife, Margaret; Robert G. and his wife, Barbara; Norman D. and his wife, Marcia; and Donald J. Laliberte. Brother of Edward Laliberte and the late Alfred, Napoleon, Joseph, Albert Laliberte, Anna Stephenson and Louise Arpin. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine Church, Post Road.
