Edward Fisher Obituary

FISHER, EDWARD F., 77, of Knollcrest Drive died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late J. Barbara (Gaiga) Fisher.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Clarence and Mary E. (O'Connell) Fisher, he had lived in Cumberland for the past 45 years.

Mr. Fisher was a supervisor and manager for the New England region of the A & P Stores. He later worked for James Ferreira & Sons, Canton, MA and Kraft Foods, where he worked part-time until he retired at age 75. He was a 1949 graduate of Central High School, Providence.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah McManus and her husband, Daniel of Lincoln; his son Edward J. Fisher and his wife, Michelle of Plaistow, NH; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Potuchek of Lincoln; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Julia White, John Fisher, Mary Hogan and Clarence Fisher.

His funeral will be held FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31 at 9 A.M. from the BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Jude's Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited and may call THURSDAY 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Fisher's memory to the American Heart Association, 222 Richmond Street, Providence, RI 02903 would be appreciated.
