Manuel Silva Obituary

SILVA, MANUEL J., 72, of Belmont St., a locally well known saxophone player, died Oct. 29, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Fern Clement.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Peter and Minnie (Rainey) Silva. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Charlene Lanier of Cohoes, NY, Scott McLaughlin of Seekonk, and William Nicastro of Greene; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Dorothy Correia of East Providence and Rosalina Coelho of FL.

He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

His funeral will begin Monday at 11am at the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Military honors and burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours will be Sunday 5-8pm. www.rebellofuneralhome.com

Dorothy,Rosalie, and Silva family, I saw Baby Silva this summer and he always had that beautiful smile. I knew what that smile ment, He would say our family has always be enterwind and we were family and how he loved my parents and we loved his. May he play beautiful music for ever.
