Valentino Venezia Obituary

VENEZIA, VALENTINO D. 'VAL', 85, of Dickinson Avenue, passed away on Thursday, October 30th.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ciro and Lucia (Mancini) Venezia.

Mr. Venezia had been the owner and operator of Dial Oil Service in Pawtucket. He had also been a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

He was the father of Richard A. Venezia and his wife Patricia, and the late William J. Venezia; grandfather of Keri Venezia, Joshua Venezia and William Filipone; great-grandfather of 1; brother of the late Anna Rogers, Evelyn Keough, and Anthony, Ralph and Reno Venezia.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of RI, 757 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI 02910.
