Frederick Benoit Obituary
Mr. Benoit was a Truck Driver for Corinco, Inc. of Pawtucket for 12 years until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the former Holy Trinity Church in Central Falls, the Teamsters, and V.F.W. Post 1271 of Central Falls. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his beach house at Mary Carpenters Beach in Matunuck.
He was the beloved father of Gary F. Benoit and his wife Paula of Wakefield, Nancy R. Hermiz and her fiance Paul Cagnon of Cranston, and Patricia L. Gagnon and her husband Dennis Kenyon of Warwick. Loving grandfather of Derek N. Benoit, Michael J. Benoit, and Brendan A. Hermiz. He was the brother of the late William, Rene, and Roger Benoit.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 5-7 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org

Gary, Paula and Nancy, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear of your Dad's passing. He was such a constant in out summer lives. He was always there to lend a helping hand, or to share a recipe. Lastly, but maybe most importantly, he was the grandfather that my children never had. They surely loved their "Grandpa Freddy" and my family and I will miss him very much.
