Funeral Monday at 9:00 AM from DARLINGTON MORTUARY OF L. HEROUX & SON, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in ST. Jude Church, Lincoln. Calling hours in funeral home on Sunday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Donations to Caitlin Simmons Educational Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, 1090 Charles St., North Providence RI 02904 would be appreciated.

Dear Burney and Caitlin;
No doubt Caitlin is nearly fully grown since the time Joey and I made the trip from Nebraska to your home to pick up those old jewelery cases. But you aren't ever grown up enough to lose your dad. Wally was a good guy to those of us who knew him by the way he spoke so highly and lovingly of the two of you.
I can't properly express my condolences for your loss. I will say a prayer for you to find comfort and for Wally to find eternal bliss until you can all be rejoined in the Kingdom of Our Father.

I was so saddened to hear about Wally. I knew you both only through the internet for many years, but was really happy when Walt invited us both to go fishing in Texas this past April and I finally got to meet Wally in person. He was a great guy and will be missed immensely.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers. We knew Wally only from the internet message boards, but felt like we knew your whole family through him.
Wally was one of the key people in helping to form the TLC Childrens Charities, which over the years has done wonderful things for children in need.
His life has touched many others that most will never know about.

We were deeply saddened by the news of Wally's passing. As others have stated, Wally was deeply passionate about all that he knew and loved, of which, I do know that over all else, he was most passionate regarding his love of the both of you.
I am proud to have called him a good friend just as you should feel proud to have called him husband and father.

Monique told me of your loss this past Friday. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know him well, but the few times we saw you guys at school functions, he was always pleasant. Now, the two of you need each other, your family and close friends around you to help you through this very difficult time. He is with God now, and watching over you. It will be one of the hardest things to go through, but stay strong and know you have support out there in each other and others. Burney and Caitlin,
I will always remember Wally for his days as a Bass Bum. Somehow Wally and the rest of the gang made getting up at 4:30 on a Sunday morning to go sit in an aluminum boat in November seem like a good idea. Wally had a passion for everything he did, and made others the better for it. I am sure Wally has a fully loaded Ranger and a season pass to Okachobe now. My thoughts are with you both.
