Antoinette Liguori Obituary

LIGUORI, ANTOINETTE C., 70, of Westerly, Rhode Island and Boynton Beach, Florida, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 7, 2008, after a courageous battle with lymphoma.

A devoted mother, Toni leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Bob, as well as her son Chris and his wife Melissa; her daughter Karen Eaton and her husband Craig; her son Jeff and his fiance Kim Cartelli; her son Bobby, and a brother, Joseph F. Parise, Jr.

Toni's greatest joy was her family; nothing made her happier than spending time with her grandchildren, Jack, Alex, Cara, and Max. Whether relaxing at Watch Hill Beach, sailing with Bob, finishing the Sunday Times crossword puzzle, or cooking a delicious meal, she lived every moment with love and devotion.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, November 11th at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home on 121 Main St. in Westerly. There will be a celebration of her life on Wednesday, November 12th at 10 o'clock, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on 111 High St. in Westerly. There will be no cortege from the funeral home.

Antoinette was supported by many wonderful organizations, and in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the following: Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860; The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1150 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920; and Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly, RI 02891.

Dear Bob and Family.

Although I haven't seen Toni in years, I remember her well as a sorority sister and classmate at URI. She was so vivacious and full of "pep"and I know she will be greatly missed. I was so sorry to hear of her passing and send my condolences to all the family.

I did not know Toni, but knew Bob from the family store when I was growing up in the north end of town and later when I worked in Westerly and he was a practicing attorney. A nicer man you could not find so I'm sure his wife was just as lovely as he. My sincere sympathy to the entire Liguori family. May she rest in peace and may you know that you will always have an angel watching over you.

Bob, words can't express the sorrow I feel for you today. I know that I am greatful that Linda and I were sitting with you and Toni and John and Liz Walker, at our class reunion. Now Toni and John have left us and the sadness is overwhelming. Toni was a wonderful kid and a sweet and good woman. Her smile will always be with you Bob, through all the tough times to come. We send you our heartfelt condolences.

Dear Bob and Family-
How can we adequately express our sympathies and feelings when you are suffering from the loss of your beloved wife and mother - as they say in the Jewish liturgy - "A woman of Valor". You know better than any of us how devoted she was to all of you and how greatly she will be missed by everyone who knew her. We will never foget the good times spent together and the experiences our children had growing up and the strong relationships that still exist. We are so sorry that we will not be able to express our feelings to you in person at this time, but you know that we are with you in spirit. May G-d bless her and may she rest in peace.
Our love and prayers are with you.
Matt, Florence and Family.
