Richard Vachon Obituary

VACHON, RICHARD T., 56, formerly of Warwick, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Ville Platte Medical Center in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Vachon.

Born in Providence, he was the loving son of the late Paul F. and Jeanette (Decelles) Vachon.

Mr. Vachon was a United States Air Force Veteran serving honorably in the Vietnam War. He was an avid New England Sports enthusiast. Richard loved his family and enjoyed his friends.

He leaves his three brothers; Ronald, Roland, and Roger Vachon and their wives: two sisters, Marie Lajoie and Jeanine Chace and their husbands; 12 nieces and nephews and three great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Monday at 10 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial with military honors in R I Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm in the Robert A. Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte. 117), Coventry. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to: Crossroads Rhode Island, Attn: Karen Santilli, 160 Broad St., Providence, RI 02903.
