Joseph Paolucci Obituary

PAOLUCCI, JOSEPH A. ('JOE' & 'JP'), of Cranston, surrounded by his family, passed peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2008 at Miriam Hospital.

Born in Providence, the son of the late Alexander & Concetta (Sepe) Paolucci, he was the beloved husband of Victoria (Marzilli) Paolucci to whom he had been married for 62 years.

He was a WWII veteran, having served on the submarine USS Raton in the Pacific Theater. He was an electrician at Quonset Point until its closing and then worked in produce at various large markets. He was a humble, compassionate, and kind man who was loved by all.

Besides his loving wife, Vicki, he leaves two adoring daughters, Lilyanne Paolucci Werle and her husband Michael of East Greenwich and Norma Agostinelli and her husband Vincent of North Kingstown. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, John Xavier and Sarah Xavier.

The Paolucci Family, a close knit, devoted family was a great source of pride to Joe, who also leaves precious nephews and nieces, his sister-in-law, and many dear friends in whom he also took pleasure.

A small, private ceremony will be held at a later date. Donations in Joe's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org

To the Paolucci Family
My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Paolucci Family on the passing away of Joe, a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. May his memory continue to keep him alive in our hearts and minds.... He was a wonderful, kind and compassionate person who I came to know in the past year or so. He truly loved his family and always would brag about every one with so much feeling. I'm sorry that he will no longer be around to share our morning chats. I must say I feel so lucky to have met him.....Even though it was for such a short time, I really met a genuine person, and I will cherish my memories of him always. I am honored to be able to say he became a wonderful friend.
Thank you, God ......................
Sincerely,

Kathleen Wheeler

Dear Aunt Vickie, Lilyanne, and Norma: I was very saddened to read about Uncle Joe's passing in the paper yesterday. Although I had not seen Uncle in quite some time, I assure you that I loved and admired him nonetheless. I will always keep very fond memories of our family from my childhood. Again, please accept my sincere condolences and may God bless you.

To the Paolucci family
I worked with Joe at Quonset Pt. in the late 50's. I was an apprentice aircraft electrician and Joe was one of my instructors. We quickly became friends, also, and played golf together. I also went on several work related field trips with Joe. One of the nicest guys to have passed through my lifetime.
My condolences to all.
