Thirteen years tomorrow, and you are not forgotten.

During this time of mourning, I would like to express my sincere condolence at the sudden loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in persistent prayers, as “the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your heart and your mental powers.” [Phil. 4:7] I certainly hope that the help God can give at this time will make a difference in your recovery to continue without your loved one.

I will never forget what our friendship meant to me growing up. We spent so much time laughing and just being ourselves with each other. I could not have been blessed with a better friend. I will never forget the 30 second malt sundae at Newport Creamery or our bus rides to the Lincoln Mall. The world has lost a true, genuine caring person but those of us who had the honor of knowing her also have the wonderful memories in our hearts forever. God bless the Gendron family and may Susan rest in peace. She will be missed.

We are all here for some purpose. Maybe Susan's purpose was beyond what we could believe or understand. The Lord created us as himself, with forgiveness, kindness and most of all love. All the qualities in us to be here for our own purpose. That purpose at this time, is to be here for each other. There is a peace now, knowing He needed Susan for her purpose. All our love and prayers to the family.

Susan,
I wish there was something I could have done. But I know you wouldn't want us to wonder why and blame ourselves. I will remember the fun times and quiet dinner times at WDH.
I want you and your family to know that we are planting a cherry tree here at Camp Wags in your memory. Merlin and Scooby loved coming here to stay and you loved them. As the tree grows and blossoms, I will remember your smile and great sense of humor.
You will always be remembered and missed. I know you are with Merlin and our dog Ambu. Give them both a scratch for me.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was close to you. I did not know your family but I know they miss you.
May the peace and love of God keep you forever in its arms.

Susan,
There is part of me wondering why I am writing on this page because if you were here you would be thinking the same thing (how am I going to read it) but I know you will always be here with me. I wish I could have taken away your pain, my memories will be of the love that we shared over the years. Feed Merlin and Pepper as many treats as they want and take long naps in the hot sun. I know where you are it is your paridise. I hope your mind is finally at PEACE. I will never forget you and will always LOVE YOU

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To the Gendron Family, I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I went to school with Susan from Kindergarten up until the family moved to Cumberland. We were very close growing up. When I heard the news of her passing, my heart sank. All of the memories came flooding back. Her coming cover to my house on Broad St, me going to her’s, the sleepovers, playground fun, the phone conversations, etc.
I can't express how saddened my family and I are. She was loved by many and will always be missed.

I Did Not Die
Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.
I am not there. I did not die.
