To All of Syl's Family,
Deepest sorrow for everyone's loss. Syl and I were best friends through Jr. and Sr. High and had many wonderful adventures together. I know my dad and he became solid friends after I left for the Marine Corps and the west coast years ago. I was looking forward to playing racquetball with him and will have to wait till we meet on the court of pure light where he is surely playing and singing in great delight.

Dear Elaine, Syl, Sandy and Amaral Family,

We offer our condolences to you and every member of your family. Syl indeed left a legacy and is loved by many many.

Remembering Syl:
I remember Syl from the Pop Warner days of cheerleading and football on Sunday Afternoons. He was a man who put others first.
More recently, he brought over the bobcat a few years back to do some yard leveling for us.. we didn't even ask.. this is typical Syl.
Syl gave us all a gift with his music and singing when he, Andrew and Doug formed the "Power Mountain Boys".

Elaine & Family,
I write this with a tear in my eye and a heavy heart. For more than 50 years we shared a deep friendship. During all those years I never heard him utter an unkind word about anyone! Amazing! Out of all the great memories that we shared, that is the one I will remember. You knew that if you were with Syl, you were going to have a good time (and probably end up singing). He was a great friend and I will remember him with these words someone once said to me; " a friend is like a star; you can't always see them, but you know they're always there". We don't get to argue with God, but sometimes I wish I could!!!!
