DELISLE, JEAN E., 79, of North Providence, died peacefully at home on Thursday. He was the husband of the late Yvette L. (Bisson) Delisle.
Born in Manville, he was a son of the late Eugene and Florence (Dupont) Delisle. Until his retirement in 1990 he was employed as an oil burner service technician for the former Berard Oil Co. Mr. Delisle was a Korean War Army veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.
He is survived by his son Raymond N. Delisle of Lincoln, his daughters Constance F. Delisle of Smithfield, Linda A. Flint and Karen C. Delisle-Moreno of North Providence and his beloved grandchildren Daniel, Matthew, Jason, Jordan and Johnny. He was the brother of Florence McCann and the late Roger Delisle.
His funeral will be Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., N. Providence. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Monday 5-8. In lieu of flowers, donations to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., E. Providence, RI 02915 would be appreciated.
