Anna Langton Obituary

LANGTON, ANNA J., 93, formerly of Charlesgate Apartments died Saturday at Mt St Rita Health Center in Cumberland where she had been lovingly cared for for the past four years. She was the wife of the late Austin Langton.

Born in Providence a daughter of the late Edwin and Sarah (McLaughlin) McMaugh, she was a life long Providence resident.

She was a former member of the Charlesgate East Association and the St Raymonds Leisure Group.

She leaves 2 daughters; Helen M. Croke and her husband Richard of East Providence and Sr. Patricia Langton OP of Cumberland, a son; Austin D. Langton Jr. and his wife Carol of Cumberland, 7 Grandchildren 18 Great Grandchildren. She was Grandmother of the late Richard Croke, Jr. and the sister of the late Helen Hall.

The Funeral will be held Tuesday 8:30am from the Monahan Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd. Cumberland. Calling hours Monday 4-7pm. Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt St Rita Health Center, 15 Sumner Brown Rd., Cumberland, RI 02864.
