Lucien Provoyeur Obituary

PROVOYEUR, LUCIEN J. (RET.) PPD, 84, formerly of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Lemieux) Provoyeur.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Adolphe and Angele (Martinetty) Provoyeur.

Mr. Provoyeur was a WW-II U.S. Army Veteran. He was a Providence Police Officer for 25 years, before retiring in 1971.

He is survived by his children, Roseann Amore of North Providence, Joan Provoyeur of Warwick, Karen Paglio of Johnston, Thomas Provoyeur of Cranston and John Provoyeur of Providence, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late James and Patricia Provoyeur.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
