I knew Tom as a great colleague and gentleman at the Providence Journal during my years there (1976-1986). He was extremely intelligent and very hard working, a great sense of humor, and I'm sure he will be missed greatly. Eleanor I'm very sorry for you loss.

I met Mr Duffin on a number of occasions while volunteering at NLH.
He was a genial gentleman; I hoped to see him in the community some time but it will be in a different community where we all meet.
