Peter Pluta Obituary

PLUTA, PETER, 65, of Newport Ave, Pawtucket died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Briarcliff Manor, Johnston. Mr Pluta was the husband of Mary J. (Cooke) Pluta. He was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Maloney) Pluta. Mr. Pluta was a supervisor at Olin Mycro Electronics in East Providence for many years. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Cuba during the Bay of Pigs.

Besides his wife, Mr. Pluta leaves his sons, Thomas and David Pluta of Pawtucket; his daughter, Donna Pluta of Florida; his brothers, Joseph Pluta of Vienna, VA and Paul Pluta of Denver, CO; his sisters, Ann Davis of San Diego, CA and Mary Jane Carcieri of Winston Salem, NC.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Pluta in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, Monday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m., to which relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. For guest book signatures, please visit: manningheffern.com

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman St., Providence, RI 02906, in Mr. Pluta's memory.
