Harriette Redington Obituary

REDINGTON, HARRIETTE (PHILLIPS), 92, a resident of Greenwich Farms and formerly of Narragansett, RI, Greenwich, CT and Stamford, CT died Thursday, December 4, 2008 in Kent Hospital with her family at her side.

Harriette is predeceased by her first husband Thomas R. Fisher, Jr., her second husband Edgar H. Redington, Jr. and her sisters, Barbara Phillips Shove and Elizabeth Phillips Howland

She is survived by her sister, Jean Phillips McLeod of Essex, CT, her children, Harriette Leyla Anderson of Narragansett, RI, Mary Molly Hawthorne of Norton MA, Thomas R.F. Redington of Southport, CT, Rowley Rey Redington of Montclair, NJ, Nancy Ayre of Woodbury, CT and Deborah Imse of Bow, NH. Also surviving her are her devoted sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, her sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at Christ Church, 254 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830 on Saturday, January 24 at 11:00 AM. A private burial will take place at a later date at Grove Street Cemetery in New Haven, CT. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 in Harriettes memory. I worked for Harriette at CBS Fawcett many years ago. She was such a gentle and encouraging leader. I have never forgotten her kindness or laughter. My prayers are with you.
