Edna M. Devine-Kingsbury

DEVINE-KINGSBURY, EDNA M., entering her 100th year, of Euclid Avenue, Riverside and Hill Road, Seekonk, MA, died peacefully on Saturday December 13, 2008 at home. She was the wife of the late Elbeth Devine and the late Marshall R. Kingsbury.

Born in Seekonk, MA, a daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (West) Peck, she lived in Riverside for 50 years and Seekonk, MA for 20 years.

Mrs. Devine-Kingsbury was an operator at the former East Providence Answering Service for 25 years before retiring in 1982.

Edna was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a member of the 16 Club. She enjoyed golfing and dining out with friends.

She is survived by a son; Richard E. Devine of Seekonk, MA, a granddaughter; Emily L. Fortner of Riverside, a daughter-in-law; Janet R. (Filliatreault) Devine of Riverside and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert F. Devine and sister of the late Rena V. Peck.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday December 17 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNER AL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 9 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
