Fred Guinn Obituary

GUINN, FRED H., 88, of Johnston died Friday, June 12, 2009. He was the beloved husband for 67 years of Edesse (Leonard) Guinn.

Born in Cumberland, a son of the late Jake W. and Bertha M. (Hathaway) Guinn. Mr. Guinn worked in the Maintenance Department of Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 30 years retiring in 1970. He was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran serving in the African Theatre. He was a past troop leader for Troop 35 B.S.A. South Attleboro and a member of the South Attleboro American Legion Post. He lived in Attleboro, MA and Pompano Beach, FL before moving to Johnston in 1995.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children; Paula Winsor, Kevin Guinn, Dennis Guinn, and Karen Birmingham; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Charles Guinn, Mildred Trowbridge, and Ethel Tomlinson.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial service Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 6 pm in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rte. 44) Greenville. Burial will be private. To the Guinn and Winsor Families:
I remember going to Grandpa & Grandma's house to play when I was a little girl and seeing his big dog "Winston" a great dane. I remember the time we spent at the lake and also our trip to see the in Florida. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May he rest in peace.

Dear Grandma
My prayers go out to You most of all Grandma. I will always remember the visit we had to Florida and seeing you in Winston-Salem. Grandpa Fred was a wonderful man.
