Dear Ann & family,

I am so very sorry for your loss. As you know I lost my father two weeks ago and miss him dearly. Our fathers were both WWII Veterans and were very proud of their service to our country and we are proud of them as well. I never had the privilege of meeting him but from his picture looked like a wonderful caring person.
My prayers are with you & your family at this very difficult time.

To My Aunt Theresa and the entire Murphy Family: As generations pass by, it is our memories of family members that we cherish most. They will always remain with us as they are part of us. It is a priviledge to have been around my Uncle Tom when I was growing up. Always a kind word, or a good handshake to say hello. My Uncle Tom is someone we can all still look up to. God Bless the Murphy family.

June 15, 2009

Dear Janet, Ann, Tom, Karen, Jim and Joe and children,
There's a quote that really fits your father: "The best gift a man can give his children is to love their mother." I fondly remember so many years ago, that first time I visited your parents' home with Bill, how obvious it was that your parents had that love-of-a-lifetime kind of marriage. What a blessing he was to all of you, and us, too, as we looked forward to those summer visits. Keep close all the lessons, laughter, strengths he gave you and that way he can always be with you, guiding you in the years to come. Sending our love and prayers, Becky and Bill

Dear Mrs. Murphy and Karen, Tommy, Jimmy, Ann, Joey, Janet and Family, I just learned of Mr. Muphy's passing from Mrs. McNamara and was overcome with sadness. I saw your Dad so much and was still missing seeing him and your Mom at Holy Mass and stopping to say hi every other day when I was cutting the grass or taking in the trash, etc. I shall never forget how they always stopped in to say hi to my Mom at the Nursing Home when they were visiting Aunt Agnes. My Mom always said: "Mr. Murphy has the best lawn on the street and Mrs. Murphy has the best outfits!" I always looked over at the house and said a pray for Mr. & Mrs. Murphy and always felt sad knowing they were not there....my prayers are with you all and I know the agony and sadness you all must feel. HE will help you through this awful loss and give you His strength and Grace to understand the mystery of Mr. Murphy's passing. I know Mr. Murphy always made me feel better when my Mom died two years ago and when my Dad died twenty years ago. His love and presence and encouragement shall always be remembered and his prayers, which he gave so generously, to those who needed spiritual consolation, shall live with us all eternally. God bless you all and my prayers are lifting you up. His Grace and Strength! Love and Prayers, Bobby Burns and family

Mrand Mrs Murphy inquired about the rooster I had for decorating in my brother John's store IMGAN.They wanted to buy it because it reminded him of his childhood growing up in Conn. I gave it to him and his smile and thanks was more than worth the simple price of a stuffed rooster. Three days later he gave me a 4 page handwritten letter alon with photocopies of his childhood home. It was a wonderful story and I am so pleased to have met them. My sincerest sympathy.

To all of the Murphy family,
I have many childhood memories of your dad, growing up on Moorland avenue. The last time I saw him was at my mom's service 5 yrs. ago and I thought both Mr. and Mrs. Murphy looked wonderful. It was so nice to be able to talk with them. By the notes here online, I can see he was a wonderful grandpa. I am sorry to hear of his passing. God Bless you all.

Grandpa, I love you and miss you. Please know that as Baby Andrew grows up and as Janet's new baby comes into the family, I will make sure that they experience your game of hiding the cereal around the house and having to find it before eating it. You were an outstanding man and I read the poem you wrote me all the time! I love you!
