Mr. Mckay was my fifth grade teacher in 1979@ George J. West middle school. My best friend and I were both in his class. We never forgot him all these years because he was a really good and fun teacher. Every friday we would have a pizza party and he would bring in all kinds of snacks. Mr. Mckay would let us water the plants and a lot of times we over watered them. I will never forget him. I was just a child but he made my 5th grade class very memorable. I often mention him to my friend and we tell our kids about our 5th grade teacher Mr. Mckay. May God bless his soul and Deepest sympathy to the family.

I met Mr. McKay about the time I met my wife Carolyn in the early eightes because of her friendship with Kathy. Over the years I cut wood with Mr. McKay, helped him move trees and did various outdoor chores and generally had a lot of fun working with him, fixing broken equipment and frequently hanging out talking about whatever. He was an inspiration and we will miss him very much.
