Anna Robert Obituary
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Francis and Mildred (Turcotte) Rafferty, she resided in the Oakland Beach area for 30 years before moving to Cranston 8 months ago. Anna was a foster grandparent at the Lippitt School in Warwick for the past 11 years. She was a foster parent for many years fostering over 25 children and was very involved with the Fresh Air Fund, a summer program for children from New York City. She had formerly been employed as a medical secretary for 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Rita Church in Warwick and past president of its women's club and a choir member.
She leaves 3 daughters, Susan M. Conroy, Kathleen A. Bucci and her husband Philip, and Patricia J. Martin; a son David G. Conroy and his wife Tomasa. She was the stepmother of Roland, Normand, Ronald Robert, Lucienne Calande, Suzanne Michaud and Rita Keneally; sister of late Frances R. Kelly; also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:45 AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM from St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Lippitt School Playground Fund, 30 Almy Street, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated. Gramma Ann will be sorely missed by her friends at Lippitt School. She was well loved and will be fondly remembered. She touched many "little" lives in the time that she spent at Lippitt School. To her family: Thank you for sharing her with us.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Mom. She loved you all so much. A wonderful person Ann and a great friend. We shared many laughs and tears and I have wonderful memories of her. You all had one of the greatest Mom's--treasure all the memories. She will always be in my prayers.

Dear Susan, Kathy, Patti, David and your Families,
We all know how special your Mother was! She was such a strong woman with a great sense of humor.
She always kept busy organizing Family gatherings getting everyone together. She will truly be missed, but never forgotten. She has left so many great memories!
I will always remember how when she called me her "Favorite Niece" she was nice enough not to remind me that I was actually her "Only Niece". So, not much choice there...
Take care and we will always carry on as your Mother did to keep our small family together.
