Robert Andrews Obituary

ANDREWS, ROBERT J., 74, of Metropolitan Road, Providence, died on Saturday at home in Kissimmee, FL. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Truesdale) Andrews.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur J. and Catherine C. (Gray) Andrews, he was a lifelong resident of Providence.

Mr. Andrews was a Nuclear Production Planner at BIF for 23 years before retiring in 1978. He also worked for Pinkerton Security Service for 10 years before retiring in 2002.

Robert enjoyed golfing and playing softball.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Arthur J. Andrews, III of Warwick; two daughters, Lorraine S. Morse of Riverside and Robin I. Andoscia of Pepperell, MA; a sister, Catherine Petrarca of Warwick; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Arlene O'Leary, Marion, Rosalind and Arthur Andrews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2007 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside on Friday, August 31 at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
