Lucy Stockley Obituary

STOCKLEY, LUCY T. (DEVLIN), 80, formerly of Auburn Street, Cranston, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Riverview Healthcare Center in Coventry. She was the widow of the late Howard Stockley.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Mary E. (Trainor) Devlin.

Lucy had been a talented crafter, selling her wares at arts and crafts shows around the region for many years. She was also a dedicated breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs, providing beautiful companions to many families.

She is survived by her sons, Richard H. Stockley of Crossville, TN, and Robert M. Stockley of Cranston; a grandson, James M. Stockley; three granddaughters: Erica M. (Stockley) Lonergan, Mithandra J. Stockley, and Nicole D. Stockley; and two great-granddaughters, Brianna E. and Riley I. Lonergan. She was also the sister of the late Edward Devlin of Socorro, New Mexico.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in The Butterfield Chapel, 500 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Lucy's name to the Alzheimer's Association of Rhode Island, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
