Leo Cotnoir Obituary

COTNOIR, LEO, 94, of Mendon Road, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at home. He was the husband of Rose M. (Dellascio) Cotnoir, whom he married on April 28, 1942.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Marie-Anne (Paradis) Cotnoir.

He graduated in 1931 from Woonsocket High School, and served in the Army during WWII. Mr. Cotnoir worked as a machinist for nearly forty years in the former Industrial Tool and Machine, Georgiaville, retiring in 1985. Mr. Cotnoir was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose, his daughters, Elaine Kozak and her husband Walter of Plainfield, CT, Marie Marchand and her husband Edward of Woonsocket and Jane Cotnoir of Pawtucket, his sister, Dolores Quinn of Warwick, five grandsons and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bertrand, Herve, Oscar and Edmond Cotnoir.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 9:30AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Monday 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., E. Providence, RI 02914. www.holtfuneralhome.com
