Theresa Bowman

BOWMAN, THERESA (D'AMICO), 82, formerly of Westfield Dr., died Friday. She was the wife of the late Max Stewart Bowman.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Benedetti) D'Amico. Mrs. Bowman was a supervisor in the claims department for the FM Global Insurance Company (formerly Allendale Insurance), for over 20 years, before retiring.

She enjoyed knitting, bingo, bowling and arts & crafts. She had been a long time resident of Cranston, before moving to Wakefield a year ago.

Surviving are four children, Donna Nelson of Gainesville, FL, Nancy Simone and her husband Michael of Cranston, Fred Bowman and his wife Carol of Wakefield and John Bowman of Jacksonville, FL, two brothers, John D'Amico of Melbourne, FL and George D'Amico of Warwick, two sisters Joan Wilson of Ft. Myers, FL and Helen Olney of Coventry, and three grandchildren, Wendy Edwards and her husband Jason of Gainesville, Jamie and Alicia Simone of Cranston. She was the sister of the late Rose Andreozzi and Francis D'Amico.

The funeral will be 9AM Tuesday from the AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8 PM.
