Nancy P. Hardy

HARDY, (COUGHLIN) NANCY P. ( R.N.), 83 of Wolfe Rd., Narragansett died on Tuesday September 25, 2007 at home. She was the widow of the late Dr. Arthur E. Hardy Sr.

She was born in Norwood , MA a daughter of the late Howard and Sadie (Cox) Coughlin and she had resided in Warwick prior to the past 33 years in Narragansett.

Mrs. Hardy was a Registered Nurse employed at Jane Brown Hospital until her retirement and had then been employed at the South County Walk in-Clinic for 10 years in the same capacity. She was a 1946 graduate of R.I. Hospital School of Nursing, a member of R.I. Hospital Alumni Association, the Kent Hospital Auxiliary, the Lucy C. Ayers Residence for Nurses, Inc. and a former member of Warwick Country Club.

She was the mother of Phyllis Peterson of Green Cove Springs, FL, Pamela Johnson of East Greenwich, Sharon Hardy-Nadolny of Cherry Hill, NJ, Arthur E. Hardy Jr. of Narragansett and the late Susan Richard. She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Howard Coughlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt. 1A), Narragansett on Tuesday 6-8 pm. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. www.nardolillo.com
