Mary Almeida Obituary
Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Dionisa (da Costa) Oliveira and the wife of the late Anselmo Almeida.
Mrs. Almeida was a communicant and active parishioner of St. Anthony Church, as well as a member of the Irmandade do Santo Nome.
She was the sister of the late Manuel Oliver, Joseph Oliver and Dorinda Fonseca; aunt of Helen Ferrara, Donald Oliver and his wife Carolyn, Diane Shafer, Susan Scott, Henry Fonseca and Sandra Fonseca. She also leaves 14 great-nieces and nephews and 24 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 9-10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket with burial to follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
