Virginia Hudson Obituary

HUDSON, VIRGINIA M. (AUSTIN),83, of Warwick, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at home. A lifelong Warwick resident, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Kelly) Austin.

Virginia was employed as a lunch aide for the School Lunch Program in Warwick before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Kevin Church and a life member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Virginia was the devoted mother of John T. Hudson, Marie Ann Langhoff and Kenneth A. 'Rocky' Hudson. Sister of Beverly Reed, Harold and Walter Austin. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 am. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. Information and guestbook visit www.TheQuinnFuneralHome.com.

Marie, and your brothers and all other family, My deepest sympathy to all of you in the loss of your mother. I have fond memories of the few times times we spent together. She was a great lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Uncle Rocky, we are deeply saddend by the loss of grandma, we wish we could be there. However mom says the funeral is on Sunday and there is no way we can drive out there in time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you with you and we will keep the memories of Grandma with us always.
