Joan Cote Obituary
Mrs. Cote worked in retail store security for 25 years. She was a security guard for Providence College for nine years before retiring in 1996. She was also a store manager for Ann Taylor.
She was a loving mother and loved by all the children and grandchildren. She belonged to the Anthony PNA Lodge 1001 of Coventry.
Besides her husband she is survived by three children Kenneth McLaughlin, Kathleen Robbins, and Linda Wilson, four step children Steve, Jeffrey, Douglas, and Barry Cote, eight grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her former husband Edward McLaughlin Jr., a daughter Lorraine McLaughlin and a brother Steven C. Nightingale.
Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the St. John & James Church, 20 Washington St., West Warwick. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 8:30 - 9:30 am from the Gorton Funeral Home, 721 Washington St., Coventry. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI 02886.
