Maurice Beaulieu Obituary

BEAULIEU, MAURICE W., 84, of Cornell Avenue, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007, at home. He was the husband of Veronica H. (Cherry) Beaulieu to whom he was married to for fifty-nine years.

He was born in Pawtucket.

Mr. Beaulieu was a meat manager for the former First National Stores for forty-three years.

He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the Navy Seabees in the Pacific Theatre. He received the American Defense and American Campaign Medal, The Asiatic Pacific Medal with four battle stars and the Phillippine Liberation Ribbon with one star. He was a member of the V.F.W. Gatchell Post #306 and a member of the Navy Seabee Veterans of America Island X-1.

Mr. Beaulieu's family would like to extend a special thanks to Judi McNeil from Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island for her extraordinary care and compassion.

Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Sharon Rankin of Florida, Barbara Cohen and Denise Perry, both of Vermont, and Alicia Vangeli of Rumford; two sons, Dennis Beaulieu of Johnston and Bruce Beaulieu of Riverside; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Patricia Jay Lincoln and the grandfather of the late Dale Vangeli.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM from the PERRY/McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Margaret Church, Rumford. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. CALLING HOURS TODAY 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Beaulieu's memory to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860, would be deeply appreciated.
