Marie McGee Obituary

MCGEE, MARIE L. (DEPAOLA), of Jean Dr. age 95, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. She was the wife of the late George Thomas McGee.

Born in South Hadley, MA, Apr. 5, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Faulkner) DePaola.

Mrs. McGee was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She worked for Kinney Shoes for many years, last at the Taunton Ave. East Providence store before retiring in the mid 1970's. She was a member of the Seekonk Senior Center, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and was a senior companion volunteer. She loved being surrounded by her family, neighbors and friends, as well as music and flowers.

She leaves her sons, Richard McGee of Owls Head, ME, and Kenneth McGee of Keene, NH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, at 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave. (Rte. 44), Seekonk. Burial will follow at 1:30pm at St. Mary's Cemetery, Northampton, MA. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-7pm at the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI.
