Louisa Pereira Obituary

PEREIRA, LOUISA D.S., 85 of Whittier Rd. Pawtucket died Monday at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center Providence. She was the wife of the late Joao Pereira.

Born in Cavadoude Guarda, Portugal a daughter of the late Jose and Patrocia ( Candeias ) dosSantos she came to the US in 1968 and settled in Pawtucket. Prior to retiring in 1982 Mrs. Pereira had been employed as a folder for the Colonial Laundry Co. Of Pawtucket for ten years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church Pawtucket.

Mrs. Pereira leaves two sons, Abel Pereira of Seekonk, Mass. And Antonio Pereira of Pawtucket, four daughters, Arlete Baptista of Long Island NY, Rosa Martins of Pawtucket, Ernestina Johnson of North Kingstown and Candida Leite of Pawtucket, two brothers Alberto dosSantos and Anibal dosSantos both of Portugal, a sister Alice Marques of South Attleboro, Mass. Nine grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Luis Pereira.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 A.M. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME 643 Main St. Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church Lawn Ave. Pawtucket at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours Thursday, 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers gifts in her memory may be made to the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center 50 Maude St. Providence, R.
