To the Couture Family, I am very saddened to hear of your loss today. Phil was an old customer of mine from DAJO Sales and more recently from Pro Tool. Phil was a great person, and a pleasure to talk to and do business with. He will be missed, and I wish to give you my deepest sympathy.

Diane and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Phil did some work on our house, and we just saw him a few weeks ago when he came to give an estimate to Howard's parents. He was so full of life and fun. Our son, Jacob, was only 2-3 at the time he was working on our house, and Jacob would come out and eat breakfast at a little table set up in the driveway so he could watch Phil work on our garage. We have video and pictures, and we will always remember him..you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

To the Couture Family,

We are so sad to hear of the loss of Phil. He did major work in our home which the kids are still enjoying to this day. Though we only first met him at that time, he instantly became part of our family. He was warm, friendly, and always had a smile on his face. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of my 1970 NSHS classmate. I remember Philippe, and as a fellow French Canadian I always used that version of his name, as an energetic and fun-loving guy who treated everyone the right way. After graduating and leaving town, my class reunion encounters with Philippe were always anticipated and enjoyable. We’d share stories, a few laughs, and then wish each other well until the next reunion. The last time I saw Philippe was last fall at Kennedy’s Lunch. I’m rarely in NS these days, but went there with a friend whom I was helping out with a new computer. We sat down, ordered our food, and were talking when, suddenly, someone sits down next to me and loudly says, “Hi, Paul!” Of course, it was Philippe. Now, I hadn’t noticed him finishing his lunch there, but he certainly recognized me as he got up to leave. We had a great laugh-filled ten minutes of reminiscing. After exiting the diner, Philippe got into some antiquish, loud gas guzzler of a car and drove away.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Philippe, his family, and his many friends who, like me, are sure to miss him dearly.

When we laugh, for just that moment, all our troubles, sorrows, and worries disappear. Phil gave us so many of those moments, and our memories of him will give us more of these moments, which we need now. Phil was generous in spirit and in deed, and he was great to be around. I will miss him, but I am better for having had him in my life. My condolences to Diane, Deirdre, and Adam.
