Louise Elsey Obituary

ELSEY, LOUISE (AIKEN), 81, of Nardolillo Street, passed away on October 24, 2007 at Morgan Health Center, Johnston. She was the wife of the late Carl Elsey.

Born in Reidsville, NC, she was a daughter of the late David and Nettie (Brown) Aiken. The family moved to Providence when she was a young child.

She was the mother of the late Carolyn Copeland and Diane Marshall. She was the sister of the late Charles and David Aiken. She is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

For many years she worked as a presser for several dry cleaning establishments until she became owner and proprietor of the Broad Street Cleaners.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a former member of the Celestial Chorus, the Finance Ministry, the North Carolina Club, and the South Providence Improvement Club.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 475 Cranston Street, Providence; Calling Hour 10-11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Arrangements by Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public St., Providence. www.Bright-FuneralHome.com

My Wonderful Mother In Law that accepted me Without ANY Reservation. I scrubbed her kitchen floors On my Needs for 3 years to show my appreciation for her Love And Acceptance of A Man that was totally in Love with Her Daughter.. Unfortunately Her Daughter was taken Way Before She achieved her goal in Education... Rest my Sweet Love...Every Day I say A prayer for Both of you....Gone But Not Forgotten... Amen 2024.

To the Elsey and Aiken family. I was very sadden to hear about the lost of Miss Louise. I grew up with her daughters and was around her all of the time. She was a wonderful person and I am glad to have known her. She was like a second mother to me. May God bless her entire family.

It's just not going to be right not haveing you around to talk to.
I've learned so much just listening to you talk about all the family. I know that you are having a good time with them, you and Diane always said that you had more family there than you had here.
