Mary Murray Obituary

MURRAY, MARY D. 'DOT', 93, of Ferncrest Dr. died Saturday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Murray.

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late James and Mary I. (Holihen) Kane. She resided in Pawtucket for over fifty years.

Mrs. Murray was a 1936 graduate of the former R.I.C.E., now Rhode Island College and was a first grade teacher with the Providence School Department for over thirty years, retiring from the Sisson Street School.

She was a communicant of St. Teresa Church, Pawtucket and was a member of the church Mothers Club and Seniors Club. She was also a member of the Leon Matthieu Senior Center. She was a volunteer at the Women & Infant's Hospital, Providence.

She was the beloved mother of Susan Haley and her husband Charles and Kathryn Marandola and her husband Arthur. She also leaves five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the J. J. DUFFY FUNERAL HOME, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
