We were very sorry to hear of Yola's death. Our sympathy to the Porreca Family. She and Tony must be playing cards in Heaven! We'll miss all the good times had together, filling up the car with flee market items we really diden't need and just gabbing about things that we had no control over. Too bad the years change things, We miss you guys, take care!

Grandma,
I know that you will always be with me, with all of us, keeping us from harm and giving us guidance when it is needed.
There are some things that you told me growing up that I want you to know I won't ever forget; "a few drops of lemon juice in the whites will help to keep them bright, slow down and eat no one is chasing you, don't run on wet floors, don't go in the house with a wet bathing suit, cut live roses after the 2nd set of leaves and always put a pinch of sugar in the vase water, iron black clothes with a kerchief under the iron so the black doesn't shine, traditions are only traditions if they are done remembering the one who last passed them on, wait a 1/2 hour after eating before going in the pool, an upside down broomstick will keep you safe from the nightwitches, put the baby outside to nap the fresh air will make him sleep well, make polenta on the 1st cold night each year, don't tease the dog, chew 100 times before you swallow, it is a mother's job to keep her family close (even if they don't want to be)...
There is so much more that I carry in my head and heart but I truly know how you kept our family together and it will never be the same without you!
