Pauline Boyd

BOYD, PAULINE (CASTIGLIEGO), age 86, of 22 Annawan Avenue, Bristol, died Friday, October 26, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Edward C. Boyd.

Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Anna (Armillotto) Castigliego. She worked for Converse Rubber Co. for many years before retiring from Plastic Mold and Engineering. Pauline loved playing bingo with the senior citizens and cards with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, MaryAnn Pezzullo and her husband Enrico, JoAnn Embrey and her husband Robert, and Edward C. Boyd, Jr. and his wife Mary, all of Bristol, 7 grandchildren, Michael Pezzullo, Paula Correia, Kyle and Bethany Boyd, all of Bristol, Susan Castigliego of Warren, Robert Embrey of South Carolina and Russell Embrey of Rhode Island. She also had 11 great grandchildren, and her 12th great grandchild on the way. She also leaves two sisters, Mary D'Alessio and Nancy Dubord and a brother, Nicholas Castigliego, all of Bristol. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Susie Arcello, Lucy Scolaro and Anna Reynolds.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Friday, November 2 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, 250 High Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
