Nicholas Barone Obituary

BARONE, NICHOLAS P., 82, of Cranberry Terrace, Cranston, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 at St. Elizabeth's Home in East Greenwich surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Confreda) Barone.

Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Isabella (Zambarano) Barone. He was a WW II Army/Air Force Veteran.

Mr. Barone was a foreman for Leesona Mfg. Company for 38 years until his retirement. He was active in several blood banks at Leesona, Holy Apostles and the K of C. where he donated over 108 pints of blood. He was a member of the K of C No. 2295 in Warwick, and he was a communicant of Holy Apostles Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Dr. Nicholas D. Barone of Lincoln, Elaine Deegan and Mary J. Leavitt, both of West Greenwich; his grandchildren, Amy Shunney, Nicholas P. Barone, Nicole Deegan, Julia Deegan, Sarah Bowater and Thomas Leavitt; and his two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Kaylee Bowater. He was the brother of Bette Canario of Cranston and the late Marie Sasso.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Church, Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston, at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
