Joseph Pafume Obituary

PAFUME, JOSEPH 91 of Providence, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Giarrusso) Pafume and the late Assunta (Caramante) Pafume. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank and Sarah (Paratore) Pafume.

Joseph had worked as a carpenter at the VA Medical Center in Providence. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of the American Legion, Wanskuck Post. He loved pool, bowling and golf.

He leaves a son, James Pafume and his wife Kathleen; a daughter, Elizabeth M. Pafume; a granddaughter, Arianna I. Pafume a brother, Frank Pafume and a sister Sarah Ferri. He was the brother of the late Charles, Sam, Albert and Carlo Pafume, Josephine Mazzocchi and Ida Rossi.

The funeral will be held Monday at 10am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave., Providence. VISITATION Sunday 3-5pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. www.maceroni.com
