My condolences to the family.I just found out about your Mother/Grandmothers passing at the Saturday vigil mass at Saint Augustines Church.
Usually something of this magnitude is shared amongst my own family members in a timely fashion at which point I would have payed my respects in person at the wake.
As it turns out or own mother is approaching the transition into the hands of God and I can empathize with the emotional turmoil you've all been experiencing.
I have many fond childhood memories at your home on Randall St. especially being a guest at the traditional Sunday dinners your mother prepared. That warm Italian hospitality is not that prevalent anymore but I was glad to have been exposed it to at your traditional family gatherings.
I will keep your mom and your family in my prayers each Sunday during the Eucharistic interlude and I hope you all find God's peace and compassion throughout the bereavement process.
