Dear Emily, you know I've talked to you over these years! Every time there is beauty or artistry on a plate, how can I not think of you? We were/are kindred spirits in that way. I always liked your strength and determination and how you'd go the extra mile for excellence; I understand that. I hope you are in loving embrace always and in a state of sublime peace. With love, Paula

I'm especially glad that I was able to visit Aunt Emily last time I was in RI - and even though we all knew this was going to happen, it doesn't mean it hurts any less. Ron & Joan I'll be thinking of you and I hope to see you in person around the holiday.

Dear Ron and Mom,

Brad, Lucas, and I want to send our deepest condolences on the passing of your mother, Emily. We will always remember her for her spunk and pluck and for her love of reading and gourmet cooking (which we were lucky enough to have enjoyed many times). May she live in our memories forever.

Love,

Paula, Brad, Lucas (and Daisy)

One of the best times I remember having with Emily is sharing in the celebration of her 90th Birthday at Spain, her favorite restaurant, with Ron and my mother Joan. It was a fun, light-hearted afternoon and we had a lot of laughs! (See photo in slideshow)
