Stella Soscia Obituary

SOSCIA, STELLA S. (GORYL), 93, formerly of Vervena Street, Cranston, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Paul Soscia, Lt. CPD, Ret.

Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Stanislaus and Mary Ann (Wyenek) Goryl. Mrs. Soscia was employed as an assembler in the jewelry industry for many years before her retirement.

She was the devoted mother of Dorothy M. Ouellette and her husband Aimie of Londonderry, NH, Bette A. Harrison and her husband Bill of Narragansett and Paul S. Soscia and his wife Lois of Estero, FL. Mrs. Soscia was the grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of sixteen. She was the sister of Alice Goryl of Cumberland and the late Joseph, Theodore, Benny and Anita Goryl.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Steere House, a non-profit Nursing Facility, 100 Borden Avenue, Providence, RI 02903. www.nardolillo.com
