Noah Alexander Barber

BARBER, NOAH ALEXANDER, age 2, of Sunnybrook Farm Road, Narragansett passed suddenly from this life on Thursday evening, November 29 to eternal rest in the comfort of God's arms. Born August 1, 2005 in Cheboksary, Russia, Noah and his new sister Kara officially became the newest additions to the family of Bob and Kristen (Larmer) Barber in Moscow, Russia on December 8, 2006.

On December 27, 2006 Noah, Kara, Kristen and Bob arrived back in the United States where he was welcomed into his new home in Narragansett by his big brother Aaron, his Nana & Pop and loving extended family and many wonderful friends and neighbors. Noah was baptized on February 18, 2007 at St. Mary's Star of the Sea.

In his brief time with us Noah showed great progress and promise in adjusting to his new home and family. Noah fit right in from the start and brought great joy and love to his parents, Nana & Pop, sister and brother, to his cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Noah loved to spend time with his Nana & Pop. When the car would turn onto their street, Noah would cheer and chant 'Nana & Poppie' over and over. In typical fashion he held court just this past Tuesday during his first 'big boy' haircut, never making a fuss and asking for some 'gel' like his big brother Aaron uses. He loved football and would run to the television when he heard the game. Just days before that he and his new sister Kara sat at the head of the table for their first Thanksgiving dinner and showed everyone how to make way for seconds as well as dessert. These are among the many memories we will cherish and remember Noah by.

The community of Narragansett also welcomed Noah these past eleven months with so many of the Barber family's friends and neighbors from the community, St Mary's Star of the Sea, Monsignor Clarke School, Narragansett Elementary School and Bob's co-workers and friends at AFS becoming a caring, loving and supporting extended family to Noah and his family. There are so many individuals and families to whom we are thankful for their love and support.

Especially helpful and close to Noah were cousins Jennifer and Jessica Daley, cousins Emily and Rachel Larmer and close family friend Francesca Brown who all spent time caring and playing with him, Kara and Aaron. Each of them brought out the best in Noah and their special caring and love for him will always be remembered.

Noah's family and friends wish to express special thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the paramedics of the Narragansett Fire Department and to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff in the South County Hospital Emergency Services Unit. All of you fought so caringly and bravely for Noah and we will always be grateful to you for your efforts and support of our family.

In addition to Bob, Kristen, Aaron and Kara, Noah is survived by his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Richard Larmer of Coventry, affectionately known as Nana & Pop, Mrs. Winifred Barber of Brewster MA, step-brother Ben Barber and step-sister Haley Barber of Jamestown; Uncle Jack & Aunt Karen Daley and cousins Jennifer and Jessica of Coventry; Uncle Mike & Aunt Amy Larmer of Greensboro NC; Uncle Rick & Aunt Cathy Larmer and cousins Ryan, Emily and Rachel of West Warwick; Uncle Ed Barber of Brewster MA; Uncle Bill & Aunt Mary Tanis and cousins James, Gilbert and Margie of Englewood CO; Uncle Tom & Aunt Alice Guariglio and cousins Danny, Brenda and Corrine of Harwich MA; and Uncle Hugh & Aunt Anne Barber and cousins Emily, Beth and Tim of West Hartford, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Rd., Narragansett. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday 5-7 PM in the AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield.
