David Bruyere Obituary

BRUYERE, DAVID A., 63, of Leisure Dr., Wakefield, died Saturday at home. He was the husband of Irene (Ponanski) DiColella- Bruyere.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Omer and Bertha (Bentley) Bruyere. He lived in Wakefield for eighteen years.

Mr. Bruyere worked as a Carpenter for Carpenters Union Local 475, MA for twenty-six years, retiring in 2004. He had served in the US Navy. He was a member of Cercle Laurier, Woonsocket, an active member of the Village at Waterman Pond and a communicant of St. Francis of Asissi Church in Wakefield.

Along with his wife, Irene, he leaves four step-sons, Michael DiColella of Putnam, CT, Vincent DiColella of Woonsocket and Robert and John DiColella, both of Mendon, MA and a brother, Paul Bruyere of Blackstone and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral, with visitation beginning at 8:30AM, will be held Friday, December 7, 2007 in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St Theresa's Church, Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, No. Smithfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 143 Main Street, Wakefield, RI 02879. www.holtfuneralhome.com
