Sleepovers at my grams ( Nancy DaSilva) were always fun but the best part were her stories about when she would come home from school and my great gradmother would ask her and Uncle Mickey how their day was. Grams being the mother hen of the bunch rarely was met with scorn but poor Uncle
Mickey wasn't so lucky. The story goes that Uncle Mickey would get in trouble for sticking unsuspecting female students hair braids in the ink well! HaHa. I will always remember Uncle Mickey fondly and I know for certain he is in great company now. I'll miss you!

Uncle Mike,
It is with great sadness we have learned of your untimely departure.
You have achieved many things in this lifetime and continued on despite medical problems, which would have stopped others, but not you.
You were part of a large, proud family, you, like your brothers,
who have passed on, taught us many things, the most obvious was to continue, no matter what the odds against. You have shown us.
You will always be remembered for your accomplishments, memories of the past, that shall live on. Like your brother, Gennaro, you are remembered, as being a loveable character, possessing your own unique sense of humor.
As time goes on, you will live on in our memories and one thing shall remain clear...you will not be forgotten.

My precious, wonderful brother my heart aches knowing that you are no longer here. You have always been such an important part of my life and the lives of all that you touched. What a guy! It will not be the same without you, but all the wonderful memories will remain.
May God take good care of you. My deepest love. Ellie
