Ernest Sylvestre Obituary
Survived by a sister and brother in law, Doris and Normand Jacques, of Westerly.; two brothers and sisters in law, Robert and, Janice, of Westerly, Raymond and Marcia, of Lincoln; a sister in law Elaine of Cranston; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Richard Sylvestre.
Calling hours will be in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence Chapel, 486 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA on Thursday, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. Donations in his memory may be made to the Oblate Infirmary Fund, 486 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876-2849 or to Christ the King Building Fund, 16000 S.W. 112th Avenue, Miami, FL 33157-2804.

I felt that Fr Ernie was placed at the St Vincent Parish to bring me into the Catholic Faith after many years of searching for where I belonged. I'll always be grateful to him for that.

Father Ernie was the person that brought me to the Catholic faith. He accomplished many good works while in Madison, and will never be forgotten. He has now gone home to the Lord, which he served all his life. He will be missed.
