Filomena Simberg Obituary

SIMBERG, FILOMENA 'PHYLLIS', (LOBELLO), 86, passed away on Sunday December 2, at Rhode Island Hospital after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph W. Simberg.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Antonio and Margherita (Marinelli) Lobello, she had lived in North Providence for over 30 years.

Phyllis had worked at A.T. Cross for 27 years, retiring in 1986. Previous to this, she had worked at her family's business, Wellington Club Soda on Charles Street in Providence.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews: Bernard Lupoli and his wife Patricia, Paul Lupoli, Joseph Guarini and his wife Ann-Marie, Frank Guarini and his wife Donna, Mary Ann Madonna and her husband Robert. She is also survived by her caregivers: Albert and Cheryl Palladino. She was the sister of the late Albert and Peter Lobello and Concetta Darezzo. Dear friend of Richele Canales, Patricia Sacchetti and Joyce Pellegrino.

Calling hours Thursday, 6-8 PM. Funeral Friday at 9AM, with a service to follow at 10 AM in the A.A. MARIANI AND SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence. Entombment will be private.
