Ronald Harvey Obituary

HARVEY, RONALD S., 69, of Sherwood Valley Lane, died Thursday at home. He was the beloved husband of Helen L. (Almberg) Winter-Harvey.

Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Howard A. Harvey and Isabel (Naismith) Harvey-Stone.

Mr. Harvey was a Correctional Officer at the A.C.I. for 35 years, retiring in 2007. He served in The United States Navy and was a member of the Brotherhood of Correctional Officers.

He was the loving father of Robert Harvey and Rhonda Holston, both of Coventry and Lori Harvey of Florida. Caring step-father of Charles Winter of North Kingstown, Stephen Winter of Richmond, Everett Winter of Johnston, Debra Conklin of West Greenwich and Sherry Campbell of Cranston. Cherished brother of Arlene Vieira and Eleanor Forcier both of West Warwick and the late Janet Dupre. He was a devoted grandfather.

His Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 5-8 p.m. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org
