I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THIS, MR. READ WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL MAN. HE SAVED MY SANITY ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION IN 04.HE WAS THE TYPE OF FATHER I WISHED I HAD. THE ONLY COMFORT THAT I HAVE THAT HE IS NOT WITH US, IS THAT HE IS WITH HIS BELOVED WIFE. TOGETHER THEY WILL BE LOOKING OVER THEIR FAMILY TO KEEP THEM SAFE.

To the Read Family: Earl was a good kid and a great guy. Together with his beloved wife, Jacqueline, he presided over a beautiful brood, mixing firmness, fairness and fun in exactly the right amounts. He (and Jackie) played a big role in my coming of age. I'll always laugh at his terrified facial expression when he allowed me to drive his brand new 1959 Chevy Impala into Downtown Providence to pick up Loretta at the end of her Amica Insurance workday. Earl's stoneface turned into dread when I turned confidently the wrong way down a busy one-way street. Forgive me for being unable to pay my respects in person. God bless Earl, Jackie and your whole family.

Earl & Jackie were very special people. Jack and I loved them dearly. They were always there for us during the summers we spent in Matunuck. Their smiling faces, helping hands, and encouraging words will always be part of the best memories we had in Matunuck. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
